Freedom through Forgiveness

As we journey through this life we collect many little, and sometimes big hurts from others. ( Rejection, Slander, Abuse, etc.) There are times we ignore them and set them aside and times we trap them and become controlled by them, we let the pain conquer us and we are no longer living and enjoying life.  This not what God wants for us, and what Scripture says. We will look at what forgiveness is, what it isn’t, the blockages to forgiveness, and step through the process of forgiveness and then spend some reflection time on it. We will also look at all the things that we have picked up through unforgiveness (bitterness, isolation, fear of rejection, anger, hatred, etc) and spend some time asking the Lord for our forgiveness.

A little bit about John...I am Catholic, married 53 years, 2 sons, wonderful daughter in laws, and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Home will always be the Philadelphia, PA area, but our second home is now the Cleveland area of Ohio in Chagrin Falls. A member of Holy Angels Church in Bainbridge for the past 6 years, active in many ways.(Counseling Engaged couples, Healing Prayer Ministry, Lector andExtraordinary Minister of the Eucharist) On the Leadership team at Peter’s Shadow Healing Prayer Ministry in Cuyahoga Falls, leading the Unbound ministry. I have been active in TMIY, Mens Fellowship, Scripture studies and hold a certificate in Catholic Theology from the Augustine Institute. Even with all this a remain a sinner, because I am human. However I know that God loves me and He is there for me!
